Band

Stars of Decay emerged in the year 2003 with the intention of starting a stoner rock band. Due to adding female vocals and the influences of the different band members, the band found a truly distinct voice, which is very difficult to describe.

To give an idea of the style, here are some influences that were named during reviews on www.garageband.com :
"Definitly has some Tool influence."

"I knew there must be a reason I keep coming here.
And you are it. This sounded like old Rush, if Geddy Lee were a chick and could sing better."

"Nice rockin guitar riffs remind me a little of Alice in Chains"
"It would be impossible to say that this band sounds like any particular band, but you do have a very strong vocalist and the guitar player is not too bad either.

"I hear a Zeppelin infuence... in the riffs for sure as well as the 'groove' this song has...The coals go great with the sound.... oh yeah (the wah solo) Definite Jimmy Page... early Tea Party (the indie album)... great sound."

"The whole thing reminds me a bit of Rush, including the Alex Lifeson skilled guitar playing."

"It sounds like a very good live band! And reminds me of...nah! very original! the bridge sounds a little soungarden... "
"It kinds of remind me of something Soundgarden would do with a female singer. "

"the chordal choices imply that Alice in Chains may be an influence, but the female vocals, which are quite unique, distinguish you from that genre. The vocals actually remind me of The Divynals, mostly due to the range in which the vocal melody sits, which is fairly low for a fem vox."
"you sound like an early Black Sabbath with a flare for the queens of the Stone Age musically."

"sound like?....soundgarden jamming with grace slick from Jefferson airplane perhaps?"
